The first hours after upload decide how a video performs, and that's exactly when creators forget to tell their own communities - or trickle announcements out one platform at a time. This workflow polls your channel's RSS feed (no YouTube API quota needed), catches new uploads within 15 minutes, and announces them everywhere at once.

What this workflow does

  1. A Schedule Trigger polls every 15 minutes.
  2. An RSS node reads your channel's public feed (every YouTube channel has one - no API key required).
  3. A Code node passes only videos published since the last poll.
  4. Telegram and Discord nodes announce the video simultaneously.

Setup guide

  1. Import the JSON into n8n (Workflows > Import from File).
  2. Get your channel ID (YouTube Studio > Settings > Channel > Advanced) and put it in the RSS node URL: youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=YOURID.
  3. Connect Telegram (bot token from @BotFather, add the bot to your channel as admin) and set the chat ID.
  4. Create a Discord webhook (channel settings > Integrations) and add it to the Discord node.
  5. Activate. Your next upload announces itself.

FAQ

Does this work for someone else's channel?Yes - any public channel's feed works, so you can also use it to track competitors or favorite creators into a private channel.
Can it post to X/Twitter or LinkedIn too?X and LinkedIn require paid/approved API access, which is why they're not in the free template. If you have access, add their nodes next to Telegram and Discord.
Does it catch Shorts and livestreams?The RSS feed includes Shorts and scheduled streams when they go live. Filter by title keyword in the Code node if you only want long-form.
