Team members could submit updates asynchronously to a Google Sheet, but someone still needs to read, summarize, and share the highlights. This workflow has AI read all updates, identify blockers first, summarize progress, and post a clean digest to your Slack channel automatically.

What this workflow does

1. A Schedule Trigger runs every weekday morning to capture yesterday's updates.
2. A Google Sheets node reads rows from your team update spreadsheet.
3. An OpenAI node summarizes the updates, prioritizing blockers and issues.
4. A Slack node posts the AI-generated digest to your team channel.
5. The summary includes all blockers first, then progress highlights.

Setup guide

1. Import the JSON into n8n (Workflows > Import from File).
2. Connect Google Sheets, OpenAI, and Slack in their respective nodes.
3. Replace REPLACE_WITH_SPREADSHEET with your Google Sheet ID.
4. Replace REPLACE_WITH_CHANNEL with your target Slack channel.
5. Adjust the AI prompt in the OpenAI node to match your team's update format.
6. Activate the workflow and have team members start submitting updates to the sheet.
